The International Edgar Allan Poe Society (IEAPS) is a new worldwide order of Poe aficionados that recognizes Poe's status as an international neo-Gothic literary figure for the 21st century rather than simply a 19th century American writer. Poe is an icon, a symbol of Gothic-Romantic literature, and has become one of the most influential forces in literature and modern culture as well.
